DIY Allergy Relief

If you are like many of us, spring is a tough season to endure.  Of course everything looks pretty, but you just can’t seem to enjoy it with a stuffed head and watery eyes.  If this sounds like you and you have had it with the drowsy feeling after you take your seasonal allergy medicine, then I encourage you to give this natural alternative a try.  I have been using this recipe for about a year and half now and have found it a great help in relieving my symptoms.

Allergy Relief Recipe

½ cup coconut oil

15 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

15 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil

15 drops of Lemon Essential Oil

And a small glass jar – I use a 4oz mason jar. You can typically buy these in singles at the craft stores for about $1.

Scoop the coconut oil into the glass jar, and then place the jar in a bowl of hot water to melt the coconut oil.  After the coconut oil is liquid add in your essential oils and stir.  Then I place the jar in the refrigerator to solidify.

Put this on the bottom of your feet 3 times a day for best results.
